The journey to desktop virtualization will take many steps but if new desktop environments cannot pass the Virtualization Turing Test, projects will stumble on the first step out of the gate. If users are forced to move from highly customized, rich personal environments to generic, “greenfield” desktops devoid of their personal customizations, virtualization endeavors will fail. Learn about best practices for bringing your users’ personalized environments along to a VDI environment so you can achieve the cost benefits of VDI without imposing major disruption and lost productivity on your user base.
